2022 really came in, said, “I won’t be before you long” – and actually meant it.

Q4 is swiftly ending, which means it’s high time to assess what went well in your business and what areas need more attention.

And if I’m reading the room right, most of the problems you’re thinking of would be resolved if you had another set of hands.

Translation: it might be time to think about hiring.

Now October flew by, so you’ve probably been so focused on running your business you haven’t even had time to go full throttle with your 2023 planning. And even though November came in hot, you still have time to create a focused plan for your business to end the year better, stronger and ready to face 2023 head-on.

Here are a few areas to examine concerning your business before the year is over:

Area #1: Process

Now is a good time to examine your strategies, both internal and external, to see what is and isn’t working. Durable businesses are built on dependable processes, and if any part of your process is out of whack, it’ll interrupt the whole assembly line. So, make sure your processes, from hiring to execution, are built for success.

 Area #2: Performance

How has your business performed this year? And no, I’m not just talking about how much money you made. Are you on track to meet your end of year goals? Are you at a point where you need to bring someone else on to handle the influx of clients? Examining your business performance will make you aware of the next right step to make so your business can flourish.

Area #3: Productivity

Productivity does not equal you doing all the things in your business. And if you’re judging your business’ productivity based on what YOU accomplish, it’s time to abandon your solopreneur role and level up to CEO. When you have the right strategies and people to push it over the line, your productivity will skyrocket.

Area #4: People

If you’ve found yourself thinking, “I wish there were 2 of me,” anytime this year concerning your business, you’re in new hire territory. Everything your business produces is dependent on having capable talent in position, so you can have the freedom to scale and grow your business rather than lead from the trenches.

Whatever didn’t work well in your business this year, 2023 does not have to look the same. But that requires you to make the necessary changes. Perfect your processes and hire the right people now, so you can reap the benefits in your business and crush your beginning of year sales goals.
