Bu, all coaches are not created equal. If you’re considering hiring a career coach-it’s important to get the right fit. Here’s a short list for you to think about before you select a career coach:

  1. “Interview” them. That’s right-interview them! Hop onto a phone call or meet up in person to get to know them a little better. Don’t just hire them based on their website alone – make sure you like interacting with them and there is a connection.
  2. Listen to their approach & coaching style.Every coach is going to be a little different. Ask them about how they handle different situations and their philosophy on coaching. You want to be clear about what is their role in the coaching partnership and your role.
  3. Understand the parameters. Understand clearly what you are getting but also what you are notgetting as a part of their coaching program. You should talk about the access you’ll have to them during the coaching process, how often you’ll be in contact and when they will not be available. Think about your personal preferences for contact and interactions.
  4. Ask about results.Since your career is a hugepart of your life, you want to make sure you’re hiring a coach that can get you the results you want and need. Ask them about previous clients and the results they helped them achieve. Also, make sure you ask about your particular career field and see if they have had similar clients with your background or within your industry.

These are some ways to pick the right one! Your career is a huge part of your life. So, take the time to find someone who is committed to you having the career and life you want. You will be glad you did. If you want to chat about my services and how I can help you-let’s talk!
